“{Loss of Baby}” I’m just a little

31 January, 2014 | English Poetry |

“{Loss of Baby}”

I’m just a little baby
who didn’t quite make it there;
I went straight to be with Jesus
but I’m waiting for you here.

Don’t you fret about me mommy
I’m of all God’s most blessed
I’d have loved to stay there with you
but Heavenly Father knows what’s best.

Many who dwell here where I live
waited years to enter in,
they struggled through a world of sorrow
and their lives were marred with sin.

So sweet mommy don’t be sad,
wipe those tears and chase the gloom,
I went straight to be with Jesus,
from my lovely mothers womb.

Thank you for the life you gave me,
it was brief but don’t complain;
I have all of heaven’s glory
suffering none of the world’s pain.

Thank you for the name you gave me,
I’m thankful for all you’ve done.
I’ll be waiting here for you
in heaven up above.

I would have loved to stay with you,
And lived life by your side,
But the Lord has called me home,
I know it’s hard to understand why.

Thank you mommy for making me,
You made me out of love,
I can’t wait for the day I see you again
So you can see what I’ve become.

I’m an angel here in heaven,
The Lord’s here by my side,
He wants me to let you know
He’s sorry he made you cry.

He has a plan for me up here,
And a plan for you here too,
Someday we’ll be together again,
And this I know is true.

“A Boy is…” Truth with dirt on

31 January, 2014 | English Poetry |

“A Boy is…”

Truth with dirt on its face,
Beauty with a cut on its finger,
Wisdom with bubble gum in its hair,
and the hope of the future with
A frog in its pocket.

“Wonder from above” Baby hands and baby

“Wonder from above”

Baby hands and baby toes,
Baby eyes and baby nose,
Tiny lips so soft and sweet
Knit togher so complete
What a wonder from above.

“YES, I DO!” YES, I DO!

31 January, 2014 | English Poetry |

“YES, I DO!”

YES, I DO!
Do I accept this referral
Are you our little man
Do I cherish your smile
Your precious little hands
Yes, I do!

Do I have everything ready
And most things paid
The patience of Job
Toys and Band Aids
Yes, I do!

Do I dream of the moment
Your face I’ll adore
A place at our table
Your crumbs on the floor
Yes I do!

Do I long to be with you
And call you my child
See your perfect room
Become perfectly wild
Yes, I do!

Do I thank God in Heaven
For the gift of an amazing son
See you swimming in our tub
And flashing your cute buns
Yes, I do!

“You Are” I am your parent,

31 January, 2014 | English Poetry |

“You Are”

I am your parent, you are my child.
I am your quiet place, you are my wild.
I am your calm face, you are my giggle
I am your wait, you are my wiggle.
I am your finish line, you are my race.
I am your praying hands, you are my saving grace.
I am your lullaby, you are my peekaboo.
I am your good-night kiss, you are my I love you.

“You Are Mine” I did not hear your first breath,

31 January, 2014 | English Poetry |

“You Are Mine”

I did not hear your first breath,
Nor see your first step,
But you are mine.

From our hearts to our home,
With God’s love from above,
You are mine.

Once a thought in my mind,
Only God knew the time,
Now you are mine.

“You are my I love you {FULL VERSION}”

I am your parent you are my child
I am your quiet place, you are my wild
I am your calm face, you are my giggle
I am your wait, you are my wiggle
I am your audience, you are my clown
I am your London Bridge, you are my falling down
I am your Carrot Sticks, you are my licorice
I am your dandelion, you are my first wish
I am your water wings, you are my deep
I am your open arms, you are my running leap
I am your way home, you are my new path
I am your dry towel, you are my wet bath
I am your dinner you are my chocolate cake
I am your bedtime, you are my wide awake
I am your finish line, you are my race
I am your praying hands, you are my saving grace
I am your favourite book, you are my new lines
I am your nightlight, you are my sunshine
I am your lullaby, you are my peek-a-boo
I am your kiss goodnight, you are my I love you
